Recent News Davenport Game Recap - Sep 28, 2008On the following day, the Bills faced the Panthers of Davenport University. The Panthers drove all the way from Grand Rapids, Michigan to play SLU and Lindenwood. The Billikens continued to work well together as a team and took the lead at half 3-2. The Panthers though, slowly took the lead and Bills scoring slowly decreased. The Panthers ended up winning the game 10-6. This was a great showing for the Billikens in the pre season and they look to have a very promising season this year. Missouri Baptist Game Recap - Sep 27, 2008 The Saint Louis Billikens took on the Missouri Baptist Spartans on Saturday, September 27 at CBC. It was the first game on artificial turf for this year. The Billikens came out strong for the first half. The offense moved the ball well for never playing with each other before. The game became a real nail biter when the Spartans scored three goals within the final three minutes of the game. The defense though held it together and Billikens won 12-11. GRLC Pre-Season Polls - Sep 25, 2008 SLU was voted #2 out of 17 teams in the GRLC Pre-Season poll held at the conference Meeting. This is the highest SLU has ever been ranked in team history in a pre-season poll. 1. Harding All-America Honors - May 17, 2008 SLU has a team record four players receiving All-America honors. GRLC Offensive Player of the Year Attackman Brian Collins and three-time First Team All-GRLC Defenseman Mike Van Tiem received 3rd team honors. Graduating Senior Midfielder Steve Ferris and Freshman Attackman Tom Van Tiem also received HM All-America honors. Click more to see the full list of GRLC players recognized... All-Conference Honors - May 8, 2008 SLU Lacrosse was blessed to have 5 players on the First Team All-Conference list, including Offensive Player of the Year Brian Collins. SLU also boasted one player on the 2nd Team, one player on the 3rd Team, and two players on the Honorable Mention List. Of the nine players receiving accolades, six will be returning for the 2009 season (including four of the five First Team Players). Click More to See the Full List...
